Very often we do not care 10 cent coin as it seems not valuable. We use the image of 10 cent coin to represent the under privileged, those are easily neglected by the public. Through inviting the public to put a screw on the big coin, we would to arouse the attention to the poors and encourage action.

07/2009-01/2010 “Budding Winter- Parking the Park, Tuen Mun Park,”

A community public art project in Tuen Mun Park.

The Home Affairs Bureau and four universities in Hong Kong, launched a new large-scale arts programme in 2009 - "Budding Winter" to nurture budding artists and bring arts to the community.”

The idea of “Hang around in the Park”(去公園做咩) was inspired by the unusual ways of using the park by the local people. They do not treat it as a resting area only. Instead , different performance was happening there. This make us ponder its existent value and the multiplex development of space.

By holding a succession of activities, we experiment and questioning the use of space by further providing ways for the residents to experience a different park. Different types of activities were held during the exhibition period, such as drawing, calligraphy and handicraft classes. This is an experimental work and depends on the interaction with the public. Do they find the activities interesting or annoying? Is there any limitation for the activities to be happen in a park.
